If you are serious about training or just wanting to know your numbers then coming in for a testing session can arm you with all the information you need to know. Edinburgh Bike Fitting offers Vo2 max testing with gas analysis for an indication of your maximal capabilities and also offers Lactic threshold testing which lets you know your sustainable pace. Currently we can only this testing to cyclists in our studio but if you are wanting this test and you are a runner we can offer it at another suitable location if you have access to a treadmill.
Vo2 max testing - Coming soon
You will come in and get a breif overview of our Vo2 max test protocol before warming up and then getting underway. The test itself lasts 10 - 16 minutes depending largely on your fitness. Once completed you will be given chance to cool off before getting a full breakdown of your results. the result of the test includes your Vo2 max number, a maximum heart rate number with which we will set your training zones and ideas of sessions you can do to increase your fitness Cost £75.
Lactic Threshold - Coming soon
Come in with your bike and get a breif overview of the Lactic threshold testing protocol before warming up and getting underway. The test itself lasts 10 - 16 minutes depending largely on your fitness. Once completed you will be given chance to cool off before getting a full breakdown of your results.
