Edinburgh's first dedicated bike fit studio, run by the same people who'll be in the room measuring you - not a franchise, not a sales team. Just fitters who've done this over 10,000 times.

Our Story

Started because Edinburgh didn't have one

Edinburgh Bike Fitting was established in 2014 by Douglas Shaw as the first dedicated bike fit studio in the city - not a fitting service bolted onto a bike shop, but a studio built around getting position right first.

Our philosophy is to deliver a multi-disciplinary, evidence-based approach - to keep self-educating, developing and improving what we offer, rather than treating a fit as a one-off transaction.

A Sport Science student and racer who's represented Team GB at world championships and currently holds Scottish national titles in cross-country, road racing and cyclocross.

Trained as an apprentice under Dougie. A dedicated triathlete and cyclist herself, Urte is especially passionate about fine-tuning road bike position for comfort, efficiency and confidence.

Founded the studio in 2014. Over a decade of experience in bike fitting, having completed more than 8,000 fits across the UK and internationally.

Runs our workshop, so every fit is backed up by a bike that's mechanically sound - from the servicing and repairs behind the scenes to the cleat and component changes made during a fit itself.

Every fit pairs a qualified fitter's trained eye with lab-grade motion capture and pressure mapping, so what you feel and what the data shows always agree.

So your position is backed by data, not just feel: 3D motion capture for joint angles, symmetry and stability, and saddle pressure mapping for where the load actually sits. Premium guarantees both at every session; on Standard, your fitter uses them as appropriate.
